Scheduled Events

02-28     Broad Mountain District Cub Scout Sports and Academic Belt Looporee-Broad Mountain District is sponsoring this event to be held at the Tamaqua Area High School.  The event is 3.00 per Scout and belt loops can be earned in the areas of Ultimate, Marbles, Science, Astronomy, Ping Pong, Art, Basketball, and Swimming, with each Scout required to register for 4 belt loops.  If you're interested in this event please see Mr. Winterburn as soon as possible.

03-05         Harlem Globetrotters-There is a Harlem Globetrotters Scout Day at the Sovereign Center.  The cost ranges from 14.00 to 21.50; if anyone is interested in this event please see Mr.Winterburn.

03-06         Pack Blue and Gold Banquet beginning at 6:00 pm.  Full uniforms are required for this event and we ask that all Scouts attend.  We will be meeting at 9:00 am that morning to set up tables and chairs and anyone able to assist is asked to come and help.  Reservations and payment must be turned in by Tuesday, April 24.  If you have any questions concerning this program please see Mrs. Hadesty or Mr.Winterburn.

03-13       Broad Mountain District Mall Show-The Pinewood Derby event is being sponsored by Pack 776.  We will be going to Fairlane Village Mall on Friday, March 12 to set up the track so if anyone is available their help would be greatly appreciated.  All Scouts participating are asked to be at the Mall for 10:30 am to register their racers with racing to begin at approximately 11:30 am.

Announcements

Friends of Scouting-Mr. Pinkey of Hawk Mountain Council visited our pack meeting to discuss an important program for Boyscouts, the Friends of Scouting program.


Scout Sunday-Thanks all the Scouts, families, and friends that were in attendance at Zion Lutherans Scout Sunday service.  The Scouts that assisted in the program did an excellent job and the Scouts that attended the service to show their support of Boyscouting and our sponsor, Zion Lutherans Church, should be praised. 


End of Year-We are nearing the end of our Scouting year and you need  meet with your Den Leader to check and ensure that your Scouts are on schedule to move up in rank.  If anyone is concerned that their Scouts might not be able to accomplish this please see Mr. Winterburn as soon as possible so we can develop a plan to see that the Den/Scout will accomplish all requirements necessary.

1-22-04  Mrs. Hadesty's Webelos II den attended a Boy Scout meeting which aides them along the path to earning thier"Arrow of Light".  While there the boys helped the scouts with catapult construction for the Klondike Derby.

Alan Mease has resigned as Cubmaster.  The Pack leadership thanks Mr.Mease for his leadership over the last two years.  Scott Winterburn has accepted the position of Interim Cubmaster.  John Sillers is Assistant Cubmaster.  Mr. Sillers will also serve as Pack Outing/Activities Chair.
